A strong earthquake occurred in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan's network of seismic stations recorded a 5.8-magnitude earthquake in East Kazakhstan region at 23:15 (Baku time) on August 2.

Axar.az reports that the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the country has released information about this.

It was noted that the epicenter of the earthquake was located 859 km northeast of Almaty in the territory of Kazakhstan (East Kazakhstan region).

Earthquakes with a magnitude of two to three were felt in Ust-Kamenogorsk. There are no reports of casualties or damages.
