Attack on Israel: UN staff fired

The UN has launched an investigation following allegations that 19 staff members of the UN's aid agency for Palestinian refugees in the Middle East may have been involved in an attack on Israel in October 2023.

Axar.az reports that "Kommersant" published information about this.

According to the report, the investigation determined that nine of them could indeed be involved in the Hamas attack.

UN representative Farhan Haq said that those persons will be fired:

"I decided that these nine employees cannot work in the Agency. Their contracts will be terminated in the interests of the agency."
