Kosovo police have closed nine branches of Serbia's national postal service "Posta Srbije" in four Serbian-majority municipalities in the north of the country.

Axar.az reports that this step is part of the policy of the Central Bank of Kosovo to ban the use of the Serbian currency, the dinar.

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, condemned this move by the Kosovo side, assessed it as an attempt to provoke a military conflict, and called on Brussels to take measures in this regard.

"We do not want war, we intend to maintain peace. But the Kosovo side takes these steps deliberately, in an organized manner and with the support of certain Western powers," said the Serbian President.
