Baku and Yerevan agreed on the Zangezur corridor

Yerevan confirmed the official statement of Baku that the article on regional communications was removed from the draft peace agreement based on mutual agreement.

Axar.az reports that the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ani Badalyan, said this.

However, he said that the opening of routes continues to be an important part of Armenia's vision and agenda for peace and economic development in the region.

It should be noted that Elchin Amirbeyov, the representative of the President of Azerbaijan on special tasks, stated that the parties agreed to remove the article on transport communications, including the route connecting the western part of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan, from the draft peace agreement.

It was agreed that this issue will be resolved at a later stage.
