Saudi Arabia, while expressing concern over the increasing threats from the Houthi rebels in the region, has called for international pressure on Iran to prevent arms supplies to the Houthis.

Axar.az reports that this information was provided by "The Guardian" publication.

In his recent speech at the Chatham House think tank in London, Saudi Arabia’s high-ranking intelligence officer and former diplomat, Turki al-Faisal, expressed Riyadh’s dissatisfaction with the Iranian government’s ongoing support for the Houthis.

"Increasing pressure on the Iranian government will positively impact the reduction of the Houthi rebels' missile and drone capabilities. The Houthis are now holding the world hostage at the entrance to the Bab al-Mandab strait into the Red Sea," Turki al-Faisal noted.
