In the early morning hours, Taiwan police began checking the manufacturer of "Gold Apollo" pagers in connection with device explosions in Lebanon.

Axar.az informs that this information was reported by Taiwanese media.

The police have requested detailed information from the company about the production of the pagers and the ways their products are sold.

According to Syu Tsingquan, Chairman of Gold Apollo, the pagers are handled by a distributor company that legally uses the Gold Apollo logo in Lebanon: "The pagers that exploded in Lebanon have been on sale for less than two years."

He claimed that this batch of pagers was not produced by them but by trade partners at a factory in Lebanon: "This sales agent has a representative office in Taiwan."

It should be noted that Gold Apollo was established in 1995. According to Lebanese media, the model in question is AR-924.

Recall that due to a cyberattack on pagers by Israel, 11 people have died and 4,000 have been injured. Among the injured is the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon. The ambassador and 1,500 members of Hezbollah have sustained eye injuries and lost their vision.
