Former German Chancellor warns of misjudging conflict

Gerhard Schröder, the former Chancellor of Germany, has advised anyone believing in victory over Russia to take a look at history books.

Axar.az reports that it was noted by Schröder that neither Napoleon nor Hitler was able to defeat Russia. Schröder believes that the West is misjudging the potential escalation of the conflict in Ukraine. While he called Russia's actions a serious mistake, he emphasized that the West has historically disregarded Russia's legitimate security interests.

"We Germans must act carefully and constructively, especially considering the history of World War II and the crimes committed in the name of Germany," the former chancellor stated.
