A missing private helicopter has been found in the Arkhangelsk region of Russia after a crash.

Axar.az informs that the Telegram channel "Shot" reported this. It was stated that the crashed "Robinson 44" helicopter had Arkhangelsk City Duma deputy Sergey Smetanin and businessman Aleksey Semyonov on board. Initial reports suggest both have died. The helicopter crashed five kilometers from the village of Bichye.

On September 25, Sergey Smetanin had gone fishing in his friend Aleksey Semyonov's helicopter, which he piloted himself. They initially flew from Arkhangelsk to the village of Ezevets, collected all necessary equipment, and then headed to nearby scenic lakes. After fishing, they returned to the village, unloaded their gear, and were on their way back to Arkhangelsk.

They landed in Bichye to refuel and sent their last messages to relatives around 7 PM, indicating they were flying home and would arrive in three hours. After that, they lost contact.

Several hours later, the families of Smetanin and Semyonov began to worry, but they didn’t immediately inform emergency services because the flight was not authorized and the helicopter was not registered at any aerodrome.

The families only decided to report the missing helicopter the next day when the tragedy became known. It was later revealed that the "Robinson 44" had crashed in a swampy area.
