Iran allegedly supplying weapons to Yemeni Houthis

The Yemeni Houthis have become a powerful military organization with the support of the IRGC’s Quds Force, Lebanese Hezbollah, and Iraqi experts.

Axar.az informs that Reuters reported this based on a confidential UN sanctions observers' report.

“The Houthis, along with Hamas, Hezbollah, and several other armed groups in Iraq and Syria, are members of the 'Resistance Front,' created and supported by the Iranian government over the past several decades,” the report states.

United Nations sanctions monitors noted that the Houthis have been using fake passports to travel to Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq, where they receive tactical and technical training.

According to the report, since 2015, the Houthis, under a UN arms embargo, have been using the same weapon systems as Iran and its supported groups.

It should be noted that a while ago, the Wall Street Journal reported that Iran was sending weapons to the Yemeni Houthis via Djibouti.
