Azerbaijan imposes new precondition in peace talks

Amid the Armenian government's high level of optimism regarding the negotiation process, Azerbaijan is initiating another precondition.

Axar.az reports that this claim was made by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the "I Have Honor" faction of the Armenian parliament.

"The issue concerns the demilitarization of Armenia. In other words, Azerbaijan is taking steps to limit everything related to Armenia's armed forces — from weapons to the number of soldiers. Moreover, Azerbaijan's goal is not just to gain additional guarantees, but to keep Armenia in a subordinate role, as under such conditions, the country will lose its last remaining capacities."
