Caspian and Central Asia routes vital for Black Sea region

Transport corridors and energy routes connecting the West to the East and the North to the South from Central Asia and the Caspian region pass through the Black Sea region. The geostrategic importance of this area will further increase in the upcoming period.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated this in a video message to participants of the International Black Sea Rize-Artvin Forum.

"Epidemiological diseases and crises in the region repeatedly remind us of the importance of logistics and transportation infrastructure for economic development. We need to develop logistics networks that will improve trade in all countries in the Black Sea geography and shorten the delivery times for goods and transportation services," Erdogan said.
