The news reports that Israel has launched new airstrikes on southern Beirut, targeting Hezbollah strongholds, including an area near Beirut's international airport. These strikes are part of an ongoing escalation in the Israel-Lebanon conflict, with Israel widening its ground offensive along the border.Repоrts suggest the strikes were aimed at senior Hezbollah figure Hashem Safieddine, rumored to be the successor to Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah.

Axar.az reports that at the same time, Lebanon's Transport Minister said that an Israeli strike on the Lebanon-Syria border has cut off a key road used by civilians fleeing the conflict, which has led to over 1 million displaced people, according to Lebanese estimates.

The World Health Organization (WHO) also reported that 28 health workers were killed in Lebanon in the past day due to the violence, and it urged an immediate ceasefire. Access to medical care is becoming increasingly difficult, with several hospitals being forced to close or evacuate in the conflict zones.

Additionally, there are reports that the U.S. is in discussions with Israel about possible airstrikes on Iranian oil sites, raising concerns over a broader regional conflict.
