A 4.7 magnitude earthquake occurred in the city of Sivas, Turkiye.

Axar.az informs that this information was reported by AFAD.

It was noted that a second earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 was recorded 10 minutes later.

The first earthquake occurred at a depth of 10.57 kilometers, while the second was at a depth of 22.98 kilometers.

No information has been provided regarding casualties or damage.

In a statement about the incident, Sivas Governor Yilmaz Shimshek mentioned that he was at a school during the earthquake, stating, "A holiday may be declared for schools in the city."

It should be noted that the day before, a 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck the Qala district of Malatya province, resulting in damage to 555 buildings and injuries to several people.
