Freedom does not come by itself - German Embassy

The citizens of the German Democratic Republic achieved the destruction of the Berlin Wall by demonstrating their courage and desire to determine their own destiny and live in freedom.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in the statement of the German embassy in Georgia.

"Thus, together with the peoples of Central and Eastern Europe, they laid the foundation for the reunification of Germany and a free, united Europe. The same can be said today: freedom does not come by itself, we must fight for it," the statement said.
