Trump nominates Mike Huckabee ambassador to Israel

The newly elected president of the United States, Donald Trump, has nominated the former governor of the state of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee, for the post of ambassador to Israel.

Axar.az reports that this is stated in the information of Trump's transition team.

"Mike will work tirelessly to bring peace to the Middle East," he said.

Note that ambassadorial candidates are approved by the Senate of the US Congress.
