Italy prioritizes air defense, not strikes - Meloni

We understand the decision to launch long-range missile strikes deep into Russia from the territory of Ukraine, but Rome made a different choice.

Axar.az reports that Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said this.

"The corresponding decision of US President Joe Biden was a response to Russian attacks on the eve of the G20 summit. But we made a different choice. This is a rare case where all political forces agree. We have always focused on securing air defense systems," Meloni said.
