Greek anti-terrorism police discovered guns and explosives in a storage area of an apartment in central Athens, authorities reported on Wednesday.

Axar.az reports that, citing Reuters, this find comes weeks after an explosion in another apartment in the city that resulted in a man's death and a woman's injury.

The apartment owner alerted the police to the discovery, claiming he had no prior knowledge of the weapons and explosives. The materials have been sent to a crime laboratory for further examination.

The anti-terrorism unit is investigating whether the discovery is connected to a bomb explosion that occurred on October 31 in an apartment, an incident believed to be linked to a resurgence in the activities of anti-establishment guerrilla groups.
