Humanity is at a turning point - Erdogan

Today, the world is in a deep crisis of leadership, in a war of wars, conflicts, violations of rights and inequalities. Everywhere we turn, we do not see stability, we encounter deepening injustices. In one of the two neighboring countries, prosperity and wealth reign, while in the other, millions of people struggle with hunger and poverty. The number of events that would cause us to look forward to our future is rapidly diminishing. One thing is clear, humanity is at a turning point. It's just that events are happening that will affect the future of our children and grandchildren, not just in the next 5-10 years.

Axar.az reports that President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed these views during his speech at the opening ceremony of the "TRT World 2024" forum held in Istanbul.

Saying that one of the most important results of the Second World War was the creation of the UN, the President of Turkiye said:

"Can we continue with this UN now? No. The UN needs reforms. The world cannot be left in the hands of five permanent members, and the world cannot be governed in this way."
