Hungary denies Assad fled to Budapest

The Hungarian government has denied the information spread in the local media about the claim that Syrian President Bashar Assad fled the country and went to Budapest.

Axar.az informs that TASS reported on this.

"This is fake news," the report said.

It should be noted that the Hungarian publication "Magyar Hang" claimed that Assad appealed to the Prime Minister of this country, Viktor Orban, for help through diplomatic channels, and that he could come to Budapest with his family and close circle.

The publication reported that a "mysterious Syrian plane" landed in Budapest on Saturday evening. The Budapest airport noted that it does not accept any Syrian aircraft.

It should be recalled that the Il-76T cargo plane carrying Bashar Assad, who fled the Syrian opposition forces and left the country, crashed, and it was claimed that Assad died as a result of the accident.
