Oman meeting between Gulf states and Iran postponed

A regional meeting scheduled to take place in Salalah, Oman, on September 14 has been postponed in the interests of consensus.

Axar.az reports that Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi announced this on X.

"In the interests of consensus the regional meeting set for tomorrow in Salalah has been postponed. We remain committed to fostering dialogue that supports stability and lasting cooperation in our region," he said.

It should be noted that a multilateral meeting involving the foreign ministers of Iraq, Iran and the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council was scheduled to be held in Oman on September 14 to discuss the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
