Chinese authorities have taken countermeasures in the country to eliminate risks after the accidents of the planes belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and South Korea's "Jeju Air" companies.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Shu Minjian, director of the Civil Aviation Administration of the People's Republic of China.

"In connection with the recent major aviation accidents in Azerbaijan and South Korea, the Civil Aviation Administration has started to work mainly in several directions at the current stage. First, the targeting and effectiveness of measures to prevent security risks that require an immediate response have been increased. Later, the department conducted inspections at airports across the country and ensured a comprehensive identification of security threats on the runways to proactively combat relevant risks," said the director.

According to him, special attention is paid to the expulsion of birds that can cause accidents from the territory of airports:

"We will strengthen emergency response training and increase the efficiency of response measures."
