Cultural activists arrested in Southern Iran

In the last five days, dozens of cultural activists have been arrested and taken to undisclosed locations in the Khuzestan province, where Arabs predominantly live.

Axar.az reports that this information was shared by human rights organizations.

It is reported that the identities of only 28 of the arrested activists have been identified so far. The reasons for the arrests and the current whereabouts of the detainees remain unknown.

It should be noted that three days ago, the Ahvaz Human Rights Center issued a statement warning about a new wave of repression against Arabs.
