Mattarella backs Ukraine in meeting with Zelensky

Italian President Sergio Mattarella met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is on a visit to Rome.

Axar.az reports that during the meeting, Sergio Mattarella renewed Italy's full, unchanging, and permanent support to Ukraine and noted the importance of a just peace.

Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had a positive meeting with Sergio Mattarella and invited him to Ukraine.

He noted that the last time the Italian president visited Ukraine was 25 years ago.
