Lebanon forms new government

Lebanon’s presidency formed a new government after more than two years of an interim cabinet.

Axar.az reports that this information was shared by the Lebanese President's press office.

President Joseph Aoun signed three decrees, one “accepting the resignation of (caretaker) prime minister Najib Mikati’s government,” another “appointing Prime Minister Nawaf Salam to form the government,” and a final one “to form a government of 24 ministers.”

The cabinet of 24 ministers, including Salam, and split evenly between Christian and Muslim sects.
