The only bust of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder and first president of the Republic of Turkiye, in France has been stolen by unknown individuals from a neighborhood on the outskirts of Paris.

Axar.az, citing CNN Turk, reports that the bust, which was placed just 3.5 months ago by the Trabzon Immigrants Society, was stolen in the municipality of Épinay-sur-Seine.

Bulent Cumhur, the head of the society, stated that surveillance cameras recorded seven participants involved in the crime.

Cumhur promised that a new bust would be placed in the same location soon.

Meanwhile, Abdullah Ozyigit, the mayor of Yenishehir district in Mersin, Turkiye, announced that instructions had been given to send a new bust to France.
