Hamas has expressed readiness to release all remaining hostages in Gaza in exchange for Israel agreeing to a permanent ceasefire.
Axar.az reports that senior Hamas official Taher al-Nunu stated that they are willing to conduct the release in one batch during the second phase of the ongoing truce, rather than in stages.
Currently, Israel and Hamas are implementing the first phase of the ceasefire, which has seen 19 Israeli hostages exchanged for over 1,100 Palestinian prisoners. After the first phase, 58 hostages will remain in Gaza.
Hamas has also agreed to return the bodies of eight dead hostages.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains firm on dismantling Hamas, while Hamas seeks to prevent the war from resuming. The U.S. appears aligned with Netanyahu, giving him leverage in negotiations.
