The DPRK Defense Ministry issued a statement titled “We will respond to the strategic threat of enemies with strategic means.”

“Since the Trump administration came to power, military provocations by the US and its satellites that threaten the security situation in the DPRK have intensified.

The typical arrogance of the US and the shameless and thuggish logic of double standards are unacceptable to us under any circumstances.

Our nuclear-armed forces are a means of protecting the sovereignty and security of the state in the region, and their rapid strengthening is a requirement of reality to respond to military threats from the US and its satellites.

The DPRK will respond to strategic threats from the US and other enemies with its strategic means and will continue responsible military operations aimed at controlling the unstable security situation on the Korean Peninsula with strong deterrent forces,” the statement said.
