Turkiye can play an important role in achieving a just peace in Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha.

“Considering both its potential and the role it plays in the region, especially in the Black Sea region, Turkey's role is extremely important. Turkiye has one of the largest armies in Europe. And, of course, this role will be played in the context of future agreements to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in Ukraine,” Sybiha said.

According to him, it was at the initiative of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that a “grain corridor” was created in the Black Sea in 2022.

“Turkey also actively participated in the process of releasing prisoners, and we are grateful for that.”
