Russia's Energy Minister Sergey Chivilev has delivered a personal message from Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Axar.az reports that this information was released by Tokayev’s press service.

“In accordance with the agreement between the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Russia’s Energy Minister Sergey Chivilev. Chivilev delivered a personal message from President Putin,” the statement said.

It was noted that during the meeting, the prospects for partnership in the energy sector — one of the main areas of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia — were discussed.
