New restrictions for Russians have come into effect in Lithuania since May 3.

Axar.az reports that LRT has provided information on this matter.

According to the new restrictions, those who travel to Russia or Belarus more than once within three months without a valid reason will lose their residence permit. Drivers working for companies engaged in international freight and passenger transportation, including those traveling to and from EU countries or transiting through Lithuania, are exempt.

According to the country’s Migration Department, as of April 1, there are 14,000 people with residence permits in Lithuania, of whom 652 are Russian citizens.
