Azerbaijan’s achievements are a source of collective pride. Thanks to my brother Ilham Aliyev’s contributions, Turkiye-Azerbaijan cooperation is growing stronger day by day and has become a model of partnership not only for the region but for the entire world.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made this statement during his speech in the city of Lachin before a concert dedicated to May 28, Independence Day.

Erdogan called for learning lessons from the past and taking steps toward lasting peace, trust, and good neighborliness in the region:

“We believe that Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev will go down in history as the architect of peace in the region.”

He stated that Turkiye is determined to further strengthen its relations with brotherly Azerbaijan. “We will stand by the Azerbaijani people both in sorrow and in joy,” said the Turkish leader, expressing hope that the brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Turkiye will endure forever.

He noted that just as the Republic founded in Azerbaijan in 1918 symbolized the desire for freedom and independence, the Victory in Karabakh contributes to the strengthening and flourishing of modern Azerbaijan:

“The torch of freedom ignited in 1918 continues to illuminate Azerbaijan’s path today. Every note echoed in liberated Karabakh is the sound of the Azerbaijani people’s revival.”
