We now want to see peace and tranquility in the South Caucasus.

Axar.az reports, citing APА, President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this while returning from Azerbaijan.

"Permanent peace in the region will benefit everyone. We are glad that peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia is now on the horizon, and we are pleased with this. We are closely following the process and providing the necessary contributions. The peace to be achieved will be valuable not only for Azerbaijan and Armenia but also for our country. We are also going through a cautious normalization process with Armenia. We will see that both our countries will benefit from peace and normalization. Therefore, there is not the slightest concern in this regard.

As for the Zangezur issue… The Zangezur Corridor is not just a land route for Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan, but also a new integration line extending to the Turkic world via Turkiye. The opening of this corridor in the short term will strengthen the transportation and energy infrastructure in the South Caucasus.

We expect our neighbor Iran to support these steps that will serve peace and development in our region. We would very much like them to benefit from this "win-win" principle. Every step taken, every door or corridor opened, along with economic benefits, will ultimately bring countries even closer together.
