Western countries are rushing to Central Asia and want to turn the region into a raw material supplement, but there is no talk of creating high-tech production facilities.

Axar.az reports that Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said this.

“This also includes rare earth elements. Indeed, if we talk about the countries of Central Asia, these countries are rich in such resources. Today, Western countries are rushing here, trying to conclude relevant agreements. But this trend has certain dangers for the region, primarily because the region can become a raw material supplement for Western countries,” he said.
