Ankara remains in constant contact with both Moscow and Kyiv and will use all its diplomatic resources to help resolve the conflict.

Axar.az informs this was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“We are continuing—and will continue—our efforts to achieve peace. We are in contact with both Russia and Ukraine. We see the current momentum as an opportunity for lasting peace. We always stress the importance of not missing this chance. Let’s not close this window of opportunity. We are using all our diplomatic power and potential for peace. Ending this major fire in our region is both a humanitarian duty and in our national interest,” Erdogan said.

The Turkish leader also expressed hope that the current peace efforts will result in a desired compromise:

“The whole world has seen that this war has significantly altered Europe’s security architecture, especially its energy policy. The European Union is now seeking ways to reduce its dependency on Russian energy. This increases the geopolitical importance of energy transit countries like Turkiye.”
