Russian forces targeted a civilian bus near the town of Bilopillia in Sumy Oblast on the morning of May 17, killing at least nine people.

Axar.az informs the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported this.

The attack occurred around 6:17 a.m. local time as the bus was heading toward the city of Sumy. Preliminary reports indicate that a Russian Lancet drone was likely used in the strike.

By 7:41 a.m., the death toll had risen to nine, with four others wounded. Regional officials said the strike was a deliberate attack on civilian transport.
