The U.S. President has announced that he will have a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday.

Axar.az reports that in a post on Truth Social, he stated: "I will be speaking, by telephone, to President Vladimir Putin of Russia on Monday, at 10:00 a.m."

According to the President, the main subjects of the call will be stopping the “bloodbath” that is claiming thousands of lives weekly and discussing trade.

He added that after the call with Putin, he will speak with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and then with various members of NATO alongside Zelensky.

"Hopefully it will be a productive day, a ceasefire will take place, and this very violent war—a war that should have never happened—will end. God bless us all!" he wrote.
