Turkiye discovers major gas field in Black Sea

A natural gas field with reserves of 75 billion cubic meters has been discovered in the Black Sea.

Axar.az reports this was announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The Turkish leader emphasized that the gas was found at the "Goktepe-3" field after 49 days of drilling and testing.

According to Erdogan, the reserves from this field are enough to supply gas to all households across Turkiye for three and a half years.

He added that the value of the reserves is estimated at 30 billion dollars.
