Auld praises Azerbaijan’s smart city initiatives at WUF13

Progress achieved in the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia demonstrates how inclusive and sustainable development can contribute to restoring regional connectivity and ensuring long-term peace.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Fergus Auld, during a ministerial roundtable held within the framework of WUF13 in Baku.

According to him, Azerbaijan’s approaches to “smart cities and villages” also show how technology and planning can improve lives when they are people-centered.

“The United Kingdom is proud to support these efforts: leading British companies are involved in the design and development of urban environments in Azerbaijan,” he said.
