Senior members of the British Conservative Party are holding secret talks with former Prime Minister Boris Johnson about his return to politics. In their opinion, only Johnson can be a serious competitor to the leader of the right-wing Reform UK party, Nigel Farage.

According to the publication, the party hopes Johnson will replace Kemi Badenoch as leader of the Conservatives, who are currently in opposition.

"Some people from Boris Johnson's old team have started messaging him again to try to get him back," a source in the party said.

The Conservatives believe that only Boris Johnson is the person who can compete with Nigel Farage and his Reform UK party.
