We are making efforts to ensure that negotiations between Russia and Ukraine take place in Istanbul.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this in a telephone conversation with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev.

"Our President stated that efforts are continuing to end the war between Ukraine and Russia, that Bulgaria's delicate policy on this issue is being closely monitored, and that Turkiye is trying to bring the parties together in Istanbul to ensure peace in the region," the Turkish President's office said in a statement.
