The 5th Forum of Armenia-France Decentralized Cooperation has started in Goris, Armenia.
Axar.az reports, citing Armenian media, Goris city of Armenia’s Syunik Province was chosen as the venue for this forum, taking into account the strategic importance of Syunik, as well as the cooperation between this Armenian province and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France.
Mayors, regional delegations, parliamentarians, including the chairpersons of the France-Armenia friendship groups of the French National Assembly and Senate, as well as the president of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regional council are among the guests arriving in Armenia from France to participate in this forum.
Representatives of several ministries and the capital Yerevan Municipality, as well as some other provincial and city guests will attend this event from the Armenian side.
As part of the conference, which will continue until June 3, a French consulate will be opened in Goris.
