The Pervomaysky District Court of Bishkek has found former Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev guilty of several crimes and sentenced him to 11.5 years in prison.

Axar.az informs, citing TASS.

According to the information, Atambayev was found guilty of illegally acquiring land plots in the village of Koy-Tash, Chui region, as well as corruption during the modernization of the Bishkek TPP, and organizing mass riots in the village of Koy-Tash on August 7-8.

It is noted that the former president was deprived of all state awards, and his property was confiscated.
