A 5.0 magnitude earthquake struck near the coast of Crete in the Aegean Sea, about 253 km from Datca district in Turkiye’s Mugla province.

Axar.az reports that the information was released by AFAD.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 5.39 km.

No information about casualties or damage has been reported.

It is worth noting that earlier tonight, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake hit Turkiye’s southwest coast, resulting in the death of a 14-year-old girl.
