On June 4, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian.

It was noted that the President of Iran congratulated the Head of State and the brotherly and friendly people of Azerbaijan on the upcoming holy Eid al-Adha, and wished our people prosperity and progress.
President Ilham Aliyev, in turn, congratulated the President of Iran and the brotherly and friendly people of Iran on the upcoming holy Eid al-Adha, and conveyed his wishes for prosperity and progress.
Masoud Pezeshkian recalled with satisfaction his official visit to our country, the meetings he held with the Head of State within the framework of the visit, and the fruitful discussions held.
The President of Azerbaijan also highly appreciated the discussions held during the visit.
During the telephone conversation, it was emphasized that the relevant state agencies of the two countries are currently continuing their efforts to implement the tasks set during Masoud Pezeshkian's official visit to our country. As a result of the visit, the restoration of the Baku-Tabriz flight and the increase in the number of flights in the Baku-Tehran direction were noted, and confidence was expressed that this would have a positive impact on the increase in contacts between our peoples.
It was emphasized that there is currently a turning point in the development of Azerbaijani-Iranian relations, and hope was expressed that, with joint efforts, relations between our countries will develop dynamically in various fields.
During the telephone conversation, the heads of state also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
