The Russian language is the basis for combating the threats of foreign ideological expansion.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation (SC) Sergei Shoigu in his speech following the meeting of the SC.

"Of course, the Russian language is the basis for combating the threats of foreign ideological expansion. Our country successfully resists attempts to restrict the use of the Russian language, to eliminate Russian culture and literature, and to establish an attitude contrary to traditional Russian moral and ethical values," he noted.
