Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement about thwarting an attempted coup in the country is an internal matter for Yerevan.

Axar.az reports this was stated by Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.

“This is certainly an internal matter for Armenia. Of course, we are interested in seeing law and order maintained in Armenia, in seeing the country remain peaceful, prosperous, stable, and friendly toward Russia,” Peskov said.

He also added Russia is in contact with its partners in Armenia, including regarding the situation surrounding the arrest of businessman Samvel Karapetyan.
