5 Turkish soldiers die from methane gas exposure

19 Turkish military personnel were poisoned by methane gas in the Panja-Kilid operation zone. Despite being immediately hospitalized, 5 of them died.

Axar.az reports, citing a statement from the Turkish Ministry of National Defense.

It was reported that the incident occurred during an operational search operation conducted in a cave to find the body of Nuri Melih Bozkurt, who was killed by terrorists.

Rescue operations in the area are being continued by the Turkish Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) and army forces.
