Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov expressed his condolences to Turkish National Defense Minister Yashar Guler.

Axar.az reports that, according to the information provided by the ministry, the condolence message reads:

"I am deeply saddened by the news that 5 out of 19 Turkish military personnel who were affected by methane gas in a cave on July 6 of this year, while searching for the body of an officer of the Turkish Armed Forces who was martyred as a result of fire opened by terrorists on May 28, 2022, during operational-search activities in the Panja-Kilid anti-terrorist operation area, were martyred.

Your pain is our pain. We are always with the brotherly Turkish Armed Forces in the decisive fight against terrorism and support you with all our strength.

I pray for mercy for the martyred heroic Turkish soldiers, share the sorrow of their relatives, and express my deepest condolences to their families. I pray to God for a speedy recovery for the treated military personnel.

May God have mercy on them."
