The EU hopes that a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be signed soon.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the President of the European Council, António Costa.

Leyen emphasized that the EU’s relations with Armenia are closer than ever.

She noted that Armenia can play a role in the future of Europe.
