Azerbaijan receives high quality silkworm cocoons

Iran has supplied Azerbaijan with high quality silkworm cocoons, which had been placed in an incubator at the Gakh sericulture breeding station, said Azerbaijan's Agriculture Ministry.

The move comes as part of the measures taken for the non-oil sector's development, in particular, to revive the silkworm breeding, which has old-standing traditions in Azerbaijan.

The silkworms, to be obtained from the cocoons placed in the incubator, will be donated to the people involved in the silkworm breeding on Apr. 26.
